This Rusland Horizon Scheme provides volunteers with hands on training in the identification and recording of all types of woodland archaeology. The woodland survey is part of the Rusland Horizons Landscape Partnership, funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund. Working together with professional archaeologists from Northern Archaeological Associates (NAA), it provides a wonderful opportunity to learn about this lesser known branch of archaeology.
